Guess what I got in the mail at my new place this weekend?
A letter from the Judge! Thanking us again for our service, and inviting us to write him back with any thoughts on the process, suggestions, or questions. Why is he so cool?
I'm totally gonna write him and ask why they chose the alternate juror by picking 12 names instead of one.
Your jury duty experience sounds pretty wonderful. It's kind of fun to be part of the process (as long as you don't get assigned a murder trial or something awful like that).
ReplyDeleteAnd EEK on the commute! That sounds horrible. I can't stand getting caught in traffic and here "traffic" just means you have to go 50 on the interstate instead of 75.
Kudos to you for taking time out of your life to do jury duty. Lots of people work very hard to get out of it. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteNatalie: Thanks for the note! I wouldn't mind a longer-term trial if I were unemployed, but otherwise, yeah--that could be a real problem. So far, so good on the commute, but I'm getting the sense that each day will be a bit different and it'll be hard to plan for.
ReplyDeleteSharon: What a sweet comment, thanks!!
